Community Partners for Better Health Coalition

The Southern Nevada Health District, Office of Chronic Disease Prevention & Health Promotion is proud to be an active member of the Community Partners for Better Health (CPBH) coalition.
CPBH’s mission is to enable and empower people of color and the community to take the necessary knowledge and tools to improve health, quality of life and eliminate health disparities. Their objectives include:
- Provide public education concerning disease prevention and healthy lifestyle.
- Create, promote, implement and evaluate health promotion programs, workshops, and screenings to address diseases which disproportionally exist among peoples of color and which promote healthy lifestyles.
- Advocate for efforts and policies that improve the health and quality of life for people of color.
- Expand membership and partner with community organizations and member agencies to further the CPBH strategic plan.
Among its growing membership, CPBH counts health service organizations, health professionals and faith based institutions that embrace its mission and support the coalition’s objectives. CPBH received its official 501c3 non-profit corporation status in 2004.
CPBH meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. at the Southern Nevada Health District, Human Resources Annex, 651 Shadow Lane, Las Vegas, NV 89106 in Training Room II.
