About the Challenge
UNLV men’s basketball head coach Lon Kruger and the Southern Nevada Health District invite your classroom to participate in the Coach’s Challenge, a program designed to encourage elementary students to eat healthy and be physically active.
Students and teachers earn points each day for eating fruits and vegetables and being physically active while learning the importance of making healthy choices. This free program takes very little class time, aligns with language arts and mathematic state standards and is open to all second-through-fifth-grade classrooms in the Clark County School District.
The registration period for this years program is closed, but please check back with us next fall for more information about the program and when it will be offered.
If you have questions please contact the Southern Nevada Health District at gethealthy@snhdmail.org or
call 759-1270. |
