Symptoms
Symptoms vary depending on the type of diabetes diagnosed. People with pre-diabetes or gestational diabetes, may not experience symptoms or may experience some or all of the symptoms of type 1 and type 2 diabetes:

Increased thirst
- Frequent urination
- Extreme hunger
- Unexplained weight loss
- Fatigue
- Blurred vision
- Slow-healing sores
Although type 1 diabetes can develop at any age, it typically appears during childhood or adolescence. Type 2 diabetes, the most common type, can develop at any age and is often preventable.
