Latinos Unidos Celebrando Salud accomplished the following during 2005 thanks to the efforts of its members and in partnership with the Southern Nevada Health District.
- LUCES members partnered on “Ventanas de Salud” Project and sponsored the Community Outreach Health Fair with Nevada Cancer Institute, Mexican Consulate, and Cancer Information Services
- LUCES collaborated and formed part of a media review committee for “Cero Humo” the secondhand smoke educational campaign
- LUCES lunches were sponsored by institutions or agencies in the business sector and by the SNHD
- LUCES Bylaws were amended
- LUCES T-shirts were distributed to members
- LUCES sponsored a Strategic Planning training for members, conducted by Karen Durkin from Houldsworth, Russo and Company
- LUCES members partnered with the Southern Nevada Health District and the Diocese of Las Vegas Catholic Church on a health project for the parishioners
- LUCES sponsored the Second Hispanic Luncheon; “Celebración por la Salud”- American Diabetes Association (diabetes awareness in the business community)
