Smoke-Free Public Places
Smoke-free Restaurants
Before smoking was banned in most public places in the state, the Southern Nevada Health District sponsored a long-running campaign to promote and support restaurants in Southern Nevada that were voluntarily smoke-free.
We would like to thank all the participants of the Smoke-Free Restaurant Campaign from 1999- 2005 for voluntarily going smoke-free, prior to the passage of the Nevada Clean Indoor Air Act (NCIAA), to protect the health of their employees and customers.
These 300+ restaurants can be viewed in the 2005 Smoke-Free Restaurant Campaign list. PDF 180KB The list includes only the restaurants that voluntarily participated in our campaign.
Although the passage of the NCIAA requires all restaurants and bars to be smoke-free, not all establishments have complied. In an effort to recognize the establishments that did comply with the new law, we have created a supplemental list of local smoke-free restaurants and bars.
Submit the name and address (or major cross-streets) of your favorite smoke-free restaurant or bar in Southern Nevada to TobaccoProgram@snhdmail.org. The list will be regularly updated as new establishment are added.
This list is not an endorsement of any establishment by the Southern Nevada Health District and we reserve the right to refuse to post or remove any establishment that is not complying with the law. The Southern Nevada Health District wants to recognize the local restaurants and bars that continue to protect their employees and customers from secondhand smoke.
NOTE: Recognition of these establishments is solely based on their smoke-free status and does not take into consideration any food safety issues.
