Clark County's Chronic Disease Prevention Program

Nutrition Challenge Guidelines

Welcome to the Nutrition Challenge Program!

Eating fruits and vegetables is an important part of a healthy diet. This program is designed to help you improve your diet and your overall health.

Each week

  • You will be provided with information that will help keep you motivated including healthy recipes, healthy snacking tips and how to read a food label.

Entering Servings of Fruits and Vegetables

After registering for the program, you will be able to enter your fruit and vegetable servings. It is recommended that you consume between 5 and 9 servings of fruits and vegetables each day.

You can enter servings:

  • Throughout the day or once at the end of the day (what works best for you).

Total Servings Display

After you enter your servings for the first time:

  • A group of apples will appear in the “Total Servings” box
  • As you continue to enter your servings, additional fruits and vegetables will appear in the “Total Servings” box.
  • Watch the number of fruit and vegetables increase in your “Total Servings” box as you continue to log your servings.
  • All of your entries will be tracked on the “Serving Entry Page” in the “Serving History Chart.”

End of program

At the end of the 12 week program, you will be:

  • Able to start the program over again
  • Asked the same registration questions
  • Asked to comment on the program
