Walking groups are a great way to meet new people, socialize and get your daily dose of physical activity.

Health Walk for Seniors
Nevada Senior Games Inc, sponsor of the Nevada Senior Olympics, as part of its Health and Wellness program, presents weekly health walks for adults age 50 and over. The weekly non-pressure walks provide a pleasant atmosphere where seniors may begin an organized program of regular exercise. All levels of fitness are invited to participate.

Other: All participants receive an official "It’s Vegas Baby! – Senior Walkers" Tee-Shirt, their own pedometer (to count their steps), a diary to track their progress and fresh fruit and healthy beverages at the end of each walk. In addition, when available, a weekly free door-prize raffle is held. Walks take place indoors, however when weather permits and facilities are available, outdoor walks are scheduled. Beginning in July, 2008, participants will be able to have their blood pressure checked each week.
   

Las Vegas High Rollers and Strollers
Las Vegas High Rollers & Strollers' events are open to everyone. Our walks are non competitive, recreational events, which are designed to be fun for the whole family!

NIKETOWN Running Club
Hit the pavement with the NIKETOWN Running Club. We meet year round at NIKETOWN Las Vegas, rain or shine. The group meets, stretches and runs or walks between 3 to 7 miles. Your choice, your pace. Then socialize and enjoy post-run refreshments.

When: Every Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Parkdale Community Center Walking Group

When: Thursdays 8 - 9 a.m.

Stroller Fit: Exercise with your baby

Walk This Way: Walking Club
Join WomensCare and Henderson Parks & Recreation to walk. Strollers and people of all fitness levels are welcome. Children must be over 12 years of age or in a stroller.

When: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Where: Henderson Multigenerational Center at 250 Green Valley Parkway*
Cost: Two dollars for a Henderson Parks & Recreation badge. Free for persons 50 years and older.
