Take the Stairs Program

Taking the stairs is a quick way for people to add physical activity to their day. Taking the stairs requires little additional time, no wardrobe change, minimal effort, no special skills and will help to increase daily physical activity.

Post 'Take the Stairs' signs by the elevator at your worksite to encourage people to take the stairs instead of the elevator.

Click on one of the below posters to download a printer-friendly 11x17 PDF:

Download the "Raise your fitness level, one step at a time" poster. Download the "No time to exercise today?" poster. Download the "Free fitness program" poster. Download the "Step up to a healthier lifestyle" poster. Download the "Small steps make a big difference" poster.

If you have questions about this program, email Mindy Meacham at meacham@snhdmail.org.

For more information on how to encourage employees to take the stairs, visit the CDC’s StairWELL to Better Health external link webpage and the Change Lab Solutions' Opening Up Stairwells for Physical Activity external link webpage.
